Dr. Kirti Patel is board-certified ob/gyn and creator and host of The Gynarchy, a podcast at the intersection of women’s health and feminism, which launched in August 2024. Dr. Patel’s mission is to break down barriers of misinformation and stigma that often surround women’s health issues and to inspire and empower women to take control of their health and their lives and to become their best selves.
Her educational background includes a bachelor of arts degree from Boston University, a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, residency training in Ob/Gyn at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (now Northwell Health) in NY, and a master’s degree in healthcare leadership from Brown University.
Her professional experience includes: scientific research, over 25 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, media experience, and consulting work for healthcare startups. She has written articles for various media publications & takes speaking engagements as well. She is also a student mentor.
In her free time, she enjoys fitness, travel, writing, and painting, and is the proud mom of two amazing young adults and a rescue dog.
